Now that
you have mastered the art of installing software on your Windows
CE device, now comes the problem almost everyone will face
sooner or later. Either you have added so many new applications
that your PDA is simply running out of memory, or you realized
that you installed a program that is a real stinker and you
would like to get rid of it.
In either
case, removing software from your Windows CE device is a pretty
simple process that can be completed with just a few clicks.
Palm-size
PC
If you
are using a Palm-size PC, select 'Settings' from the start
menu. This will bring up another menu, from which you will
want to choose 'Remove Programs'. You should now see a list
of all the programs you have installed on your device. To
delete one, just select it from the list and click 'Remove'.
You will be asked to confirm your request, and if you are
sure that you wish to delete the program click 'Yes'.
On occasion,
you might come across a program that requires a few additional
steps to remove. In these cases, you will prompted through
the process and need only follow the steps as they appear.
Handheld
PC
If you
are using a Handheld PC, select 'Settings' from the start
menu. From the list that appears, click on 'Control Panel'.
This will open up a new box where you can select 'Remove Programs'.
Once the list of applications installed on your device pops
up, pick the one you wish to remove and click 'Remove'. You
will be asked to confirm your request, and if you are sure
that you wish to delete the program, click 'Yes'.
On occasion,
you might come across a program that requires a few additional
steps to remove. In these cases, you will prompted through
the process and need only follow the steps as they appear.
